My mom always told me: patience is a virtue. It has always resonated with me and, over time, has become one of my strong suits. While it applies to so many facets of life, it applies to my personal design approach. I am a lover of a beautifully curated home, and that takes time (and money). I am a true believer of mixing splurge pieces with bargain items. What does that take? Once again, patience. Here is where this all comes into play, I have wanted and been looking for Milo Baughman dining room chairs or a dining set. This is my SPLURGE! Why? His pieces are so glamorous considering he designed during a minimalist era. I have been sourcing for months, while I'm still not there, I am finding some really stunning pieces for consideration:
Can you see these at the head of the table? Gorgeous!
See here.
This seller says they have no tags to support it's a Baughman. If you have no tag, you have no room to brag (or over price)! Just sayin'! Still, it is beautiful.

A reproduction, I believe, but so pretty.

How comfy do these look? Love the square-stock steel frames.
And finally, the pièce de résistance...
Seriously. I can't afford the $4,5000 price tag, although it seems like a total bargain! In my dreams for now.
Who is your dream furniture piece designed by (yes, I realize I just ended a sentence with a preposition)?

ReplyDeleteHe sure did know what he was doing, didn't he? His work is so beautiful.
DeleteΤhey are very beautiful! My dream piece would be either a ghost chair or a Barcelona chair!

ReplyDeleteWhat did they look like? Do tell!
DeleteThe final chairs around the table with the lucite sculpture are actually by Dillingham and often found with the Pierre Cardin furniture range. I have them with labels so I can back this up.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful for you!! They are beautiful chairs.
