I can't stand it any longer; the time has come to tackle my powder room. To say it is small is a considerable understatement. I can't even figure out how to photograph it. I wish it could be stripped down to its bare bones, but mama's budget has to override any delusions of grandeur that may be had in the finishes department.
I have tossed around many ideas, and the one I keep coming back to is a chic black and white with a pop of color, or gold, or metallic! The perfect aesthetic for pee pee passers-through.
Believe it or not, I was challenged to find pics of exactly what I had in mind. But I did find particular elements of what I was thinking in a few images featured below.
| Image Via Pintrest I love the opulent wallpaper juxtaposed with the sleek, contemporary lines of the sink. The sconces mirror mounted coupled with the mirror height extending to the ceiling gives off a regal effect. |
| Image Via Pintrest That mirror! I recently came upon a similar mirror in my favorite antique shop, and I passed on it. WHY?!? Perhaps it is still there...fingers crossed. |
My inspiration photo takeaways to start me down the powder room path, I've decided: White walls, ebony crown mouldings, door and window frame and a large, horizontal Neapolitan-style mirror.
What say you?
Awesome!
